The ordination of Sean Elliott to the Sacred Priesthood was held at Cathedral Church of St Anne Leeds, on Saturday 26th February 2022, celebrated by Right Reverend Marcus Nigel Stock, MA, STL, Tenth Bishop of Leeds.
Fr Sean’s association with the Leeds Cathedral goes back a long way, to the days when he was a member of the Leeds Cathedral Choir. He subsequently studied for the priesthood at the Venerable English College in Rome. Following the completion of his studies, he has been assisting Rev Monsignor Michael McQuinn at St Columba’s and St Malachy’s parishes in Halifax West Yorkshire. He was ordained a Deacon by Bishop Marcus at St Malachy’s in April last year. Rev Fr Sean Elliott’s first appointment as Assistant Priest is to St Mary’s, Halifax where he will support the Dean of Halifax, Rev Fr Martin Kelly.
