Head Teachers Mass for the schools from around the Diocese of Leeds was held on Thursday 24th June 2021 at Leeds Cathedral, Right Reverend Marcus Nigel Stock, MA, STL, Tenth Bishop of Leeds concelebrated Mass with Very Rev Canon Timothy Swinglehurst (Episcopal Vicar For Education) and Rev Fr Christopher Butler.
After the Mass, the Bishop had the pleasure of presenting the Bonae et Fidelis Medal to Head Teachers who are retiring this year:
Describing our Catholic schools as ‘jewels in the crown’ of our diocese, Bishop Marcus thanked all school leaders, teachers, and staff for their outstanding dedication and commitment of time to further the mission of Catholic education in our schools, colleges, and university.

After Mass, the Head Teachers had time to socialise in the Cathedral’s Wheeler Hall and to hear presentations from Tom Leech about the Schools Singing Programme, and from Catholic Care.
