Easter Vigil began outside the Leeds Cathedral where Bishop Marcus blesses the Easter Light and ignites the paschal candle that will then light candles for the rest of the congregation.
We procession into St Anne Cathedral where Deacon Joseph Cortis sang the Exsultet – the Hymm of Easter Praise.
The Blessing of the Water: Bishop Marcus dips the paschal candle into the baptismal font to bless the water followed by the baptism of nine adults.
