The Easter Vigil began outside Leeds Cathedral, where Bishop Marcus blessed the Easter Light and ignited the paschal candle, which then lit candles for the rest of the congregation.
We entered St. Anne Cathedral, where Deacon Joseph Cortis sang the Exsultet, the Hymn of Easter Praise.
The Blessing of the Water: Bishop Marcus dips the paschal candle into the baptismal font to bless the water.
Followed by the baptism of seventeen adults.
