The Annual Mass for Head Teachers and School Leaders in the Diocese of Leeds was celebrated by Right Reverend Marcus Nigel Stock, MA, STL, Tenth Bishop of Leeds in Cathedral Church of St Anne on Thursday 15 September 2022 at 10.00 am.
Today’s celebration is an opportunity to recognise the contribution of those who have completed many years of service to the Diocese and Catholic Education.

Madeleine Babbister – St Anthony’s Primary School Clayton
Harry Rowan – Our Lady of Lourdes & St Patrick’s Primary School Huddersfield
Rose Harrison – St Francis Primary School Morley
Carty Baxendale – St Thomas a Becket’s Secondary School Wakefield
The Choir was groups from the Diocese’s Schools Singing Programme, from Holy Name Catholic Primary School, Cookridge, St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School, Beeston and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Rothwell, directed by their Choral Directors Tom leech, Lizzie Leather and Roly Mander.
Bishop Marcus, Canon Swinglehurst, and all involved with Catholic Education in the Diocese of Leeds took the opportunity to say a big ‘THANK YOU!’ to all our Head Teachers; their leadership, faith, and fortitude – especially throughout the pandemic – has been truly ‘outstanding’!
